15 minutes of a Sterek fanfic, part 3

You can read part 1  here  and part 2 here . Stiles stared out the window of Derek's car as Erica drove them to his house. Siles had waited longer for Derek at the edge of the forest than he'd care for anyone to point out to him. But goddammit, Derek didn't get to do this. He didn't get to just disappear. Not on the pack and not on Stiles. The pack seemed less concerned than Stiles was, but they didn't know all of the things that Derek had gone through when his family had died. They had never had those tough conversations that Stiles and Derek had had. Besides that, perhaps they were also just trying to seem calmer for Stiles. While they didn't always show it the best, Stiles knew that the pack loved him and wanted to protect him. They had decided to go back to Stiles's place thinking that if Derek had wanted them around at his place, he wouldn't have run off like that. Scott had taken Allison home and Lydia had gone home on her own, seemingly less affec

Draw inspiration from the subject line of an email you recently received, part 5

You can read part 1  here , part two  here , part three  here , and par four here . "You know, Clarice, I think I've figured it out." "Figured what out, Jennifer?" "Your first name." Sarah froze. She hadn't meant to reveal herself to Jennifer until the end of their sessions. This was too early. "I've told you my name." "Oh I'm sure you go by Sarah, Clarice. You are very careful not to lie to me." Jennifer drummed her fingers on the table. "I appreciate that, but you left something out and that's like lying, isn't it?" Jennifer turned her cold eyes to Sarah. Sarah said nothing, but considered signalling for the guard. Jennifer was a dangerous woman when crossed. "I'm just surprised that I didn' figure it out sooner," mused Jennifer, looking up at the ceiling. "I should've remembered you so that's on me. But what I can't suss is why you didn't tell me from the beginn

15 minutes of a Sterek fanfic, part 2

You can read part 1 here . "Oh thank fuck," breathed out Stiles when he saw Derek emerging from the smoke. Derek quickly grabbed Stiles's wrist from Erica's grasp and dragged him away from the crowd. "Ow," said Stiles, not appreciating being yanked about by wolves. The house set on the edge of the forest in Beacon Hills. It was a dramatic sight to see the windows filled with flames, illuminating the dark trees nearby. Derek gently pushed Stiles up against one of the trees and desperately started examining him. Checking for anything that could be wrong. Any whiff of a burn. Time had not been kind to Derek and he did not often find himself lucky when it came to fire. "I'm okay, Der," Stiles gently whispered as Derek searched him up and down. "You're okay. We're all okay." Stiles was...Stiles. The only hint of pain was emanating from his wrist which Derek gently released. Stiles used his freedom to gently cup Derek's face.  &

I have COVID

I have COVID. I debated sharing this information because it still feels shameful to say. Logically, I know that's not true. It's not a shameful thing to get sick, but it feels like I failed in some way. I also fear that I spread it to a friend and that also feels shameful. Now we took precautions, but it still spread. Now I feel mostly fine. Truly. Please don't worry about that; my vaccine and booster did their job and taught my body what to do. I have a small cough, but that's it. I was having a friend come over and figured I should tell her and ask her if she wanted me to test. I figured I was fine because no one I knew had tested positive and it was the tiniest cough. She said she'd prefer if I could test just to be sure. Now I had a home test so I did so and then I checked and saw the pink and blue lines. I triple checked the instructions to be sure that that meant a positive result. Surely, it had to be wrong. I couldn't have gotten COVID, I had been carefu

15 minutes of a Sterek fanfic, part 1 - edited and expanded

I'm going to edit and expand this previous post . The pack needed a break and this Friday night senior party was the perfect outlet. With everything that had been happening--well was always happening--they needed a chance to blow off some steam. Stiles was the head of this "pack needs a party" committee and perhaps its only member. "Come on, guys, it'll be great." "Define great," gruffed Derek. Stiles looked at him, exasperated, "Dancing, drinking, and loads of stuff better than whatever training you have planned for the pack tonight." "He's probably right," said Erica, cleaning her long nails. "Besides, we could use a night off." "Now that's what I'm talking about," said Stiles, pumping his fists in triumph. "But why exactly do I have to go?" asked Derek, willing to let the pack go, but not thrilled to go himself. "Because," smiled Stiles, bounding over to Derek to wrap his ar

15 minutes of a Sterek fanfic, part 1

The pack needed a break and this Friday night senior party was the perfect outlet. With everything that had been happening--well was always happening--they needed a chance to blow off some steam. Stiles was the head of this "pack needs a party" committee and perhaps its only member, but whether they wanted to admit it or not, everyone agreed with him. Even his sourwolf boyfriend, Derek. So that's how they all found themselves at a party at some senior named Erik's house that Friday night. Stiles had also made them all dress up for the occassion--well he only had to make the guys dress up as Lydia, Allison, and Erica were already dolling themselves up when he came to make the grand dress up announcement. The music was loud and the booze was flowing, overwhelming the senses of the werewolves, but they soon adjusted. The pack spread out and began to enjoy the party. Some dancing, some talking, some just drinking (werewolves had to drink fast to even get a buzz). Stiles f
