Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 12, episode 11

I got a spoiler that Jaida is going to dress up like Guinan and I'm THRILLED.

I'm so excited for Whoopi to be a judge
Yay for puppets!
I love how the fabric wall gets a shout out for the puppet challenge
The puppet challenge actually isn't that funny this time around...
I am excited for the one woman show
Yeah no one wants to close the show
This season is difficult because there is a terrible person who is still here, but also I love the other five so I don't want any of them to go home and the terrible person I think makes it to the top so I just have to see a queen I like leave when a predator is still there
Jackie does Star Trek drag? That is amazing
I think Heidi is going to kill this challenge
Okay I don't think memorizing lines is bad for a one woman show...right?
Jaida, as a fellow fast-talker, I feel your pain
God I'm falling more and more in love with Jaida each episode
Jackie, I think this could be very funny but, no, I don't think your mom will like it

Jackie did pretty good! I think she actually has the makings of a one woman show
Crystal is very funny, but I have to say what the judges wanted out of the challenge seemed very inconsistent
Oh no, Heidi isn't doing very well
Boy was I wrong about Heidi killing this challenge
I think with more time to practice, Gigi's idea could've been great

So the piece of lint is just blatantly breaking the rules

Whoa! This is such a different look for Jackie and I LOVE IT (although I do think of this is a Crystal look)

Omg doing Scooby Doo does endear Gigi to me (although I think the look isn't that great)
The piece of lint's designer is incredible

I feel like Jackie was about to say something deep, but then it cut

I love that Whoopi told Crystal not to worry about people who think she is weird cause that is who Crystal is
So many people did characters for this runway
The piece of lint is lying, there is no way the lint thought that was five minutes
Telling Heidi to take out two of the characters is advice you could've given Heidi before she performed

Okay so just guessing before it starts, I think Heidi loses the lip sync
God these are two great dancers
And I was correct
Heidi, you will be back for a season of All Stars and have a good chance of winning Miss Congeniality
Looks like a dance heavy challenge next week
I like that we get to see their entrance looks again

Starting my parental journey, part 1

To be clear, I am not pregnant. Nor do I currently plan on being pregnant soon. However, I promised myself that if I was 30 and still single I'd start to explore my options for having a child either on my own or later in life with a partner. Well, 30 came and went, but 31 is still here so close enough I figure. My first step was to make an appointment to discuss options with a doctor because I could do all the research I wanted on the internet, but I knew it would overwhelm me. As I write this, I haven't had that appointment yet so no news there. Now I made this appointment in February (hey, I was still 30 then!) and it was originally scheduled for October (yes, an 8-month wait for an initial appointment), but last week the appointment got moved up to this week and things got moving! Starting my parental journey, part 2

You can read part 1 here . Yesterday I began the next step of my parental journey. Ironically, it was starting birth control. This medicine helps prepare my ovaries for the egg retrieval process. It was weird taking the pill to prepare for my fertility journey because you typically think of the pill as ensuring you don't get pregnant. Obviously, I'm not getting pregnant now, but I am getting ready for that eventual possibility. There have also been various bureaucratic issues that I've been dealing with. Mostly insurance stuff (as I'm sure comes as no surprise). But, thanks to a new benefit at work that started 1/1/24, my journey will be (mostly) covered. While, again, there were some bureaucratic hurdles that I had to overcome in order for this to all work out, I am immensely glad that it did work out. I am nervous though. In part I'm nervous about a lot of the practicalities of this step in my journey. For instance, I will have to inject myself with various medica
