Thoughts on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way season 2, episode 11

 I actually don't remember the preview for this week so I don't know what to expect.

  1. Kenny...do you think you can open a bank account in Spanish?
  2. Ah I see...Kenny lied. 
  3. Oh but it's a good lie. I thought he was gonna say that he was going to the hotel to like enjoy the air conditioning or something
  4. Yikes Kenny lived through rough stuff
  5. I'm not convinced Armando is ready for the proposal, but I am glad that Kenny's kids can meet Armando
  6. Yes, Brittany, you do need to learn about the culture but you also need to tell him you're married
  7. You also certainly need to have your hair covered in a mosque
  8. Man if we hadn't seen the screaming fights Yazan and Brittany have gotten into then this would be sweet
  9. Taeyung is super cute
  10. This apartment looks nice and the playground is a huge plus
  11. I don't get why Melyza doesn't want to mess up Tim and her dad's relationship
  12. Melyza's dad is reacting so reasonably...that is so rare for this show
  13. I think Melyza and Tim should break up...but I do appreciate Melyza saying she's an adult and her parents won't decide for her
  14. Dear god focus on Tim's face in his interviews...it's not that hard
  15. The rocks do look beautiful
  16. Ah 3.5 years doesn't seem that fast

  19. It's past time that Armando met Kenny's kids
  20. Three days to decide if you want to convert sounds like not enough time, but she's actually had months to think about this
  21. I really wonder if Yazan didn't say that she needed to convert til she got to Jordan or if Brittany just ignored it
  22. Look, they're teaching each other. Yazan teaches Brittany about his culture and Brittany teaches him a pinky promise
  23. Ah so we're going to end the episode with Drascilla running away into the night, aren't we?
  24. Drascilla is a weird kid
  25. Drascilla, not Taeyung, is your first priority, Deavan's mom?

  27. Is Drascilla wearing a diaper? She seems old for that
  28. Ah I think Drascilla is going to be perfectly fine because I think we'd have heard if something tragic happened to her
  29. Oh man do we finally get to meet Sumit's parents?
  30. Yikes does Ariela have to convert?

Starting my parental journey, part 1

To be clear, I am not pregnant. Nor do I currently plan on being pregnant soon. However, I promised myself that if I was 30 and still single I'd start to explore my options for having a child either on my own or later in life with a partner. Well, 30 came and went, but 31 is still here so close enough I figure. My first step was to make an appointment to discuss options with a doctor because I could do all the research I wanted on the internet, but I knew it would overwhelm me. Starting my parental journey, part 2

You can read part 1 here . Yesterday I began the next step of my parental journey. Ironically, it was starting birth control. This medicine helps prepare my ovaries for the egg retrieval process. It was weird taking the pill to prepare for my fertility journey because you typically think of the pill as ensuring you don't get pregnant. Obviously, I'm not getting pregnant now, but I am getting ready for that eventual possibility. There have also been various bureaucratic issues that I've been dealing with. Mostly insurance stuff (as I'm sure comes as no surprise). But, thanks to a new benefit at work that started 1/1/24, my journey will be (mostly) covered. While, again, there were some bureaucratic hurdles that I had to overcome in order for this to all work out, I am immensely glad that it did work out. I am nervous though. In part I'm nervous about a lot of the practicalities of this step in my journey. For instance, I will have to inject myself with various medica
