15ish character builder questions for Chant O'Cúileann - part 1

My DM sent us these 50 character builder questions for your tabletop character by Ginny Di and I'm going to answer them 15ish at a time for both of my characters, but starting with Chant O'Cúileann (and answering in the first person).

  1. Are you a morning person or more of a night owl? Morning person--that's what being raised by farmers will do for you
  2. What’s the first thing you notice about a person when you meet them? Whether or not they seem okay with my horns
  3. You see a huge spider in your room. What do you do? Leave
  4. If you could go back and change one decision you made in the past, what would you change? Not asking my grandmother more about my magic before leaving town
  5. Tell me about your first kiss. There was a tween girl that I walked to school with every day. One day we both shyly shared that we'd never kissed anyone and decided to kiss each other to share that we'd done it
  6. Do you give people second chances? If they seem truly remorseful
  7. Are you a cat person or a dog person? I am an animal person overall--farm life
  8. Do you think you’re attractive? No, but I'm learning to
  9. What’s your worst habit? Not being able to tell when people don't want flute music
  10. When was the last time you cried? When I left home. It wasn't that I didn't want to go, but it was a big change
  11. Are you a good liar? Not really
  12. What’s your biggest pet peeve? Someone looking crooked at Shrek
  13. Have you ever had your heart broken? When my first kiss didn't want to be my second
  14. Are you more likely to use your fists or your words in an argument? Words (vicious mockery perhaps?)
  15. What’s something you’re naturally good at? Magic
  16. What’s something you had to work hard to be good at? My flute

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
