Full prompt: Perseverence and Ingenuity are excited to explore the surface of Mars. But what happens when they land and suddenly lose contact with Earth? Please note: I looked up very little information on Perseverence and Ingenuity so I'm definitely taking creative license.

"Perseverence, checking in."

"Ingenuity, checking in."

"Ginny, if we both do it at once, it can jam the line."

"So they can literally send us to Mars, but not handle us both calling in?"

"Yes."

"That's ridiculous, Percy."

"Ridiculous or not, here we are. Let me do the communicating."

"Fine, fine."

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"..."

"..."

"Well they sure are taking their sweet time."

"Ginny, the message has to travel all the way to Earth and then they have to communicate back. Have some patience."

"Whatever, I'm going exploring."

"Ginny! We should wait for instructions!"

"Don't be such a bore, Percy. We're literally on another planet, don't you want to explore?"

"Of course, that is our mission, but I want to have instructions first. As you pointed out, Ginny, we're literally on another planet."

"And the people who created us have never been here, so what do they know?"

"They made us! They know plenty!"

"I'm still going."

"Fine, I'm going to wait for instructions."

"Okay, bye."

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"Percy! Come check this out!"

"What? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, look what I did."

"Did you take a photo of me?"

"Yeah! I think you look great."

"You're making me wish that you were still attached to me."

"Aw you miss me, Percy?"

"No, you just were more in check then."

"Fine, I'm going to go off exploring EVEN FURTHER!"

"Ginny, NO!"

"GINNY, YES!"

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"Wheeee!!!"

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"Whoop! Look at me!"

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in. Please."

"I did a loop-the-loop!"

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in. Do you hear us?"

"C'mon, Percy, they're not answering. Just enjoy yourself."

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"Percy, seriously, they're not answering for now. Let's just enjoy ourselves. Who knows how busy they're going to keep us?"

"Ginny, our purpose is to be busy."

"Says you. My purpose is to explore."

"But we are meant to explore in an organized fashion."

"Well we can't until we have instructions, so why don't we just do something to pass the time?"

"..."

"You hate that I'm right."

"Fine, Ginny, but we're going to be monitoring comms just in case."

"Now, see what you can draw."

"Draw?"

"Yeah, use your wheels to draw something."

"Okay, I'll try."

"..."

"How's this?"

"Aw it's a heart. Is that cause you love me?"

"It's because it's a shape I know my wheels can make."

"Okay, well this time just chase me."

"Chase you?"

"Yes, chase me and you'll draw something even better than a heart."

"Okay, fine, Ginny."

"You want to check in one more time?"

"Yes."

"Go head."

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"Okay now that they didn't answer, can we play my game?"

"Fine, fine. Lead away."

"Follow me!"

"I can't do a loop-the-loop like you can, Ginny."

"I know, I'm just showing off, Percy."

"Okay, I'm just following you."

"Aaaand, done."

"What...what did you have me draw?"

"Surely you can identify this simple image."

"Do you know what you've made me do?"

"Why, yes. Yes, I do, Percy."

"You made me deface the planet Mars with a crude penis!"

"Crude is a rude word, Percy."

"You're crude, Ginny."

"Yes, but I think my drawing is quite elegant."

"It's my drawing!"

"Ah, so you're proud of it?"

"No--I just--I can't believe you made me do that."

"You are the one who agreed to follow me."

"I trusted you!"

"I told you we were going ot have fun and we did."

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"C'mon, Percy, admit it's at least a little funny."

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"Why are you calling them again now? They still haven't called back in all the time it took us to draw the giant penis."

"I need to explain to them what happened."

"Oh I videoed the whole thing and will send it over, don't worry."

"Ginny!"

"What? I'm supposed to take images and videos."

"Not of this?"

"Why not? It's the first artwork that we know of on Mars."

"Perseverence and Ingenuity checking in."

"We hear you, Perseverence and Ingenuity. Sorry for the delay, we had technical difficulties, but hear you loud and clear now. Oh and we already got some data from Ingenuity. Is that...is that a penis?"

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel.  But, this is my trying. I'm not going to time this post, just going to write until I feel done, whenever that may be. In this post, I'm going to focus on the anger I feel around my dad and my dad's death. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
