Thoughts on 90 Day Fiance season 10, episode 6

Time for some tense meetings!

  1. Rob, it still happened while you were together
  2. Rob, asking someone for explicit images is different than watching porn
  3. Jasmine, I could've told you (without the rain) that they weren't going to like you
  4. Omg I love the alpaca from Clayton to Anali
  5. Clayton is giving solid advice to his mom
  6. Lol Clayton has changed his view on flowers I guess
  7. Okay, Ashley, bickering is one thing, but I would say you all have done more than that
  8. Ho boy we sure are talking about sex magic
  9. Yes, Ashley, venting usually connotates bad things
  10. Is Manuel controlling?
  11. Omg Manuel not responding to a basic "be sure you take care of" does not look good
  12. Oop Nikki is telling Igor/Justin that he's too quick
  13. Ho boy I'm uncomfy already with this meeting of Nick's family
  14. Aaaaand now Devin is crying
  15. Is bocce ball Italian, Gino? (Google suggests yes!)
  16. Aw I appreciate this member of Gino's family saying Jasmine can call her
  17. I actually bet Gino is stoked to not pay for a big wedding
  18. It will take a minute for Jasmine to be an "American," Gino's relative (I didn't catch which one)
  19. Again, no one understands that Gino has agreed to sponsor Jasmine
  20. Nikki is a real woman
  21. Ho boy, Nikki, this is probably TMI for Igor/Justin's friends
  22. Sophie, you might not be able to unlove someone that quickly, but you can decide it's time to cut ties that quickly
  23. Ho boy Clayton didn't tell Anali his mom lives in a literal closet?
  24. Why are so many American 90 Dayers concerned that their partners don't want to have sex after traveling for a long time?
  25. Good for you, Ashley, get that couple's therapy!
  26. Aw Nick's mom is nice
  27. "Your tears helped"--Nick
  28. I don't think Nikki and Igor/Justin should be together
  29. Ho boy, Jasmine, you sure did say Gino's family lacks empathy
  30. Oop Jasmine is going to go off
  31. I'll be shocked if this is actually what breaks Jasmine and Gino up
  32. Boy I don't like watching people cry
  33. Jasmine, Dane (if no one else) will buy you a ticket home
  34. Next time Nick and Devin have a cute time
  35. Next time Manuel and Ashley continue therapy
  36. Next time Manuel thinks he can walk it
  37. Next time Igor/Justin wants Nikki to dress conservatively for his parents
  38. Next time Clayton and Anali talk about Anali's dad
  39. Next time Jasmine continues to cry and scream
  40. Next time Rob and Sophie talk

Starting my parental journey, part 1

To be clear, I am not pregnant. Nor do I currently plan on being pregnant soon. However, I promised myself that if I was 30 and still single I'd start to explore my options for having a child either on my own or later in life with a partner. Well, 30 came and went, but 31 is still here so close enough I figure. My first step was to make an appointment to discuss options with a doctor because I could do all the research I wanted on the internet, but I knew it would overwhelm me. As I write this, I haven't had that appointment yet so no news there. Now I made this appointment in February (hey, I was still 30 then!) and it was originally scheduled for October (yes, an 8-month wait for an initial appointment), but last week the appointment got moved up to this week and things got moving! The timing feels right in a certain way. Two people I care about are having babies in the next month, someone else I love is expecting next year, and I also know multiple couples either trying or g

Starting my parental journey, part 2

You can read part 1 here . Yesterday I began the next step of my parental journey. Ironically, it was starting birth control. This medicine helps prepare my ovaries for the egg retrieval process. It was weird taking the pill to prepare for my fertility journey because you typically think of the pill as ensuring you don't get pregnant. Obviously, I'm not getting pregnant now, but I am getting ready for that eventual possibility. There have also been various bureaucratic issues that I've been dealing with. Mostly insurance stuff (as I'm sure comes as no surprise). But, thanks to a new benefit at work that started 1/1/24, my journey will be (mostly) covered. While, again, there were some bureaucratic hurdles that I had to overcome in order for this to all work out, I am immensely glad that it did work out. I am nervous though. In part I'm nervous about a lot of the practicalities of this step in my journey. For instance, I will have to inject myself with various medica
