Here is a piece I wrote in 2010. Trigger warning for suicide. The Moon Full moon .  She stared up into the moon’s deep, shining, silver craters as she lets her hands dangle off the cold, stone balcony railing.  No one was missing her at the bright party behind her, even if it was hers.  People only paid attention to her older sister, Luna.  Luna floated on air as far as everyone was concerned.  And contrary to popular belief, the world revolved around the moon , thought Luna’s sister scornfully. Bright as a star , that’s what she was, but never the moon.  No one would notice a star, they’re so many of them.  Beautiful as they are they cannot compare to the flawless and mysterious beauty of the moon.  If the moon ever left the sky there would be no light at night except for the flicker that the stars give off.  Without the moon the tides would change.  But without at star there would be just one less imperfect pinprick in the moon’s backg...
