 It remains an interesting place!

  1. There was free coffee and treats provided by Georgetown University Press
  2. My credit card machine ran out of paper (but then this evening seemed to have more paper...)
  3. A lovely lady named Mia came and gave me a croissant because she knows we exhibitors are a bit chained to our booths
  4. Not enough people said hello back when I said hello
  5. I kept being told how much smaller the exhibit hall is this year than previous years
  6. "Surface Pressure" from Encanto was stuck in my head
  7. The most casually dressed people were men
  8. I watched a pretty good game of bags
  9. I found a welcome sign in many languages
  10. Someone told me about a lovely tour they had in Chicago and how the lake moved them
  11. I wished the exhibit hall had music
  12. One booth was decorated with mini beach balls
  13. People finished the game of Jenga
  14. I spotted a free zine
  15. I ate dinner in my hotel room (luxury)

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. Okay, there was also the extra time with her friends who loved math as much as she did, but some of the appeal was just the math itself. Finally the bell rang and Arya had four minutes to get to her geometry class. She passed right by the chemistry class next door where her least favorite teacher was conducting experiments. Color palette

Original prompt: "Google "color palette," pick one, and write something inspired by it." I actually Googled "color palette public domain" to be sure I could use it and found the image on this post. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm. Fern loved this time of day in the faewild where it wasn't quite day, but it was far from night. Fern frolicked alone in the glade as she was want to do. It didn't matter to her that her laughter carried itself alone on the breeze; she was content.
