Now some of these apply to other things too.

  1. You find yourself at a tourist trap
  2. You have your camera at the ready
  3. You go into souvenir shops
  4. You constantly check some form of map
  5. Your accent stands out
  6. You compare sights, customs, food, etc. to home
  7. You ask the bus driver/train conductor if the bus/train goes to your destination
  8. You plan to get lost for a day
  9. You have an itinerary with multiple big things on it
  10. You have the feeling you should be making memories
  11. You have a guidebook
  12. You find yourself on a tour
  13. You find yourself lost on local customs
  14. You use a rideshare to go what turns out to be a short distance
  15. You're staying in a hotel etc.
