Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 16, episode 4

Oops, sketch time!

  1. Geneva...I get being mad at the queens but you also have to be mad at the judges because the judges could've not put you in the bottom two even though the queens put you in the bottom three
  2. Q is annoyed

  6. Mirage got nervous...uh oh
  7. Always some role selection drama
  8. Okay, to be perfectly honest, I thought Lindsey Graham was a woman the first time I saw him
  9. Is Sapphira wearing a bear outfit?
  10. I love that Ru is in a jumpsuit
  11. Woo! Sarah Michelle Gellar!
  12. The cold open was okay
  13. Richard Pig got me good
  14. The deck sketch was fun
  15. This Ru song is a bop
  16. Also the dancers are great
  17. Michelle...it clearly says Queen News Network, not Queen Network News
  18. I think Amanda stood out in the news segment
  19. Q stood out in the Barbara Streisand sketch
  20. Time for the Cher runway!
  21. Xunami looks divine
  22. Morphine looks sexy
  23. Mhi'ya looks good, but the reference photo they showed doesn't seem to match
  24. Geneve looks fabulous
  25. Mirage looks beautiful
  26. Megami is feeling it (and this looks more like what Mhi'ya was going for)
  27. Plane is a wow
  28. Amanda's look has my favorite inspiration
  29. Dawn's look is so fun
  30. Q's looks is striking
  31. Plasma looks regal
  32. I feel like Nymphia could've picked a better inspiration image
  33. Sapphira is a wow
  34. Okay, I thought Amanda should be in the top
  35. Mhi'ya's Cher impression is very funny
  36. Wow I really thought, based on the critiques, that Plane was going to win, but go Plasma!
  37. Wow I expected Mirage to be safe
  38. Mirage had better dancing, but I think Geneva might've had better lip-syncing
  39. Well that was heartbreaking

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel.  But, this is my trying. I'm not going to time this post, just going to write until I feel done, whenever that may be. In this post, I'm going to focus on the anger I feel around my dad and my dad's death. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
