A letter from Rivulet Brook, #2

So with the blessing of my DM, I am going to be writing letters home from my D&D character Rivulet Brook. Here is the second one! You can read Rivulet's first letter here.

Dear Kyrie,

It feels as though I left Goa just yesterday and also ages ago. I hope to be back in Goa some day, but if not, I'm sure the gods will ensure that our paths cross once again.

I write to you from an oases in a dangerous place. I will tell you the story in full sometime, but I must get rest for I face a test of Melora tomorrow. Do not fear, I am also writing to Priestess Titalia as well.

I miss you dearly, but I also wanted to write to you about a group we encountered called The Children of Sunfire. Have you heard of them? They are followers of Pelor but there is a sinister edge to how their leader speaks especially in regards to burning. We traveled with them briefly and I fear they were lost in either a dust storm or to a gigantic creature. Yet I know their leader was magical so perhaps he, or others, survived. I guess I write to you about them as a warning to look out for them and maintain your faith as I know you do. I also fear that the devout Pelor follower traveling with me might be tempted by this sect, but he has proven himself many times so perhaps my fear is unfounded.

I do not mean to worry you, but I found myself thinking of you so I wanted to write to you while I had the chance to get a letter to you.

Sending me a letter back may prove tricky, but I do hope to make my way back to the Inhi Crossroads. You can try sending a response there as they should know me--my group and I helped save them from some mauraders but that is a story for another time--but I do not know when I will return to there, Goa, or anywhere.

Until our paths cross, may the gods bless you.

Love,

Rivulet

(Prompt by me but with blessings from my DM)
