Watched Our Little Secret on Sunday with great friends--some of the thoughts may be borrowed from them! SPOILERS ABOUND!

  1. I love Lindsay Lohan (who played Avery)
  2. However, the male lead of Logan, Ian Harding, I remember as creepy teacher who dated a student and I was supposed to like it in Pretty Little Liars, so I had difficulty not being weirded out by him
  3. Also, to be fair, Logan is introduced as a drunk asshole
  4. I think we're supposed to assume that Logan's mom's financial troubles are solved by him landing this one job? Or maybe Avery gives them money? Idk it was a bit odd not to tie up that particular bow
  5. The two featured couples were in a confusing stage in their relationships. Like how do you not know that your partner had this super long term relationship with a childhood friend that ended in a rejected proposal if you're at the stage of spending Christmas together with one of your families? Also, since Avery and Logan knew each other their entire lives, have their partners really not seen photos of them together?
  6. I genuinely liked that Avery's widowed father found love again and it's just treated as lovely and normal
  7. I called a lot of "twists" in this movie (should I write a Christmas romcom?)
  8. Honestly, the amount of THC gummies that Avery ingested probably would've sent her to the hospital not just made her sing "Celebration" at church
  9. I don't get why Avery was into Cam...he seems like he sucks and did pretty much nothing to help her bond with his mom
  10. I wonder if Cam and Sophie are dating now that their parents are dating/married to each other
  11. I felt bad for Cassie, yeah like she's not perfect, but she seemed to love Logan and be trying and then he dumps her after she finds out her dad has been having an affair with a close family friend
  12. I think playing Callum would've been the most fun
  13. I enjoyed the ongoing joke that Erica didn't age
  14. While I've said a lot of complaints about this movie, I did have a great time watching it with friends
  15. When is Lindsay Lohan making another Christmas romcom (I also rather enjoyed her in Falling for Christmas)?

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel.  But, this is my trying. I'm not going to time this post, just going to write until I feel done, whenever that may be. In this post, I'm going to focus on the anger I feel around my dad and my dad's death. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
